Last night we had an incident with a watermelon. I had placed a watermelon, cut in half  through the middle so it wouldn’t be too long to fit in our refrigerator to cool down. (Our refrigerator is the kind with the freezer on the bottom.) I was making dinner when Frank came home from work and went to the fridge to get some juice for Elizabeth. Somehow the watermelon came flying out of the refrigerator and nailed Elizabeth in the gut. It pushed her back a few feet before she fell on her bottom. It was like she was tackled by an NFL lineman or a bowling pin caught by a bowling ball. It was quite a scene. Luckily the only damage was a big pink ring around her ribs and tummy, which gradually faded. Well, there was also the matter of the smashed watermelon all over the floor…
