The Zoo
We had a great time at the Columbia zoo the other day. Elizabeth surprised us by hopping right on a pony and going for a ride around the track. She was too thrilled to be scared.
Here’s the sign we should have read before feeding the Lorikeets.
The sign doesn’t not say anything about the birds pooping on you–that was added excitement.

Oh man. Those feeding aviaries are my favorite!! I had a double yellow head Amazon parrot for a while and grew to really appreciate birds. So the feeding of the lorries is awesome!! Did they freak Elizabeth out any? Noah went to the National Zoo last week, but unfortunately, he’s too young to even realize there was anything going on more than 20 feet away from him. Heidi had a good time with the other mom though.
