Easter Bunny
From now on our annual trip to see the Easter bunny will be to Petsmart and not the Augusta Mall. After observing kids visiting the Easter bunny while eating her lunch, Elizabeth was quite excited to go over and meet him. She got about 4 feet away and totally froze–dissing his outstretched paw. She said she didn’t want to sit on his lap, and I knew why. You could almost make out who was wearing the costume by looking through his mouth. Very poor costume design!
Elizabeth and I had a little talk afterwards because she was obviously freaked out. She said “the Easter Bunny had somebody in his mouth!” I explained to her that I didn’t think it was the real Easter bunny and that it was just someone wearing a halloween costume. This seemed to make her feel a bit better, but to be honest, I’m still a little freaked out by the incident.
So I am supposed to tell her that this guy is coming to our house? — when it’s dark? That’s creepy! I think it will be much safer to visit an innocent little REAL bunny at the pet store next year.
