Hokie Pride
It’s been quite a roller coaster of a spring, with one thing happening after another, and now the shootings at VA Tech hopefully top off our string of stressful events. Frank spent 5 years of his life at VA Tech, which I think is about as long as he’s lived anywhere until now. We often stop in Blacksburg on our way to/from Maryland to visit my family, and I’ve grown to love that part of the world. It’s hard to believe that such a beautiful place will be scarred by such a terrible event.
I tried to get Elizabeth to wear her baby Hokie shirt yesterday, but she didn’t feel like it. She finally opted to wear the bright orange T-shirt under a purple frilly tank top. (Where can I buy one of those buttons that says “I dressed myself?”) I picked up some pink fabric with white hokie birds on it, so maybe she’ll change her mind if I sew her a hokie skirt.
