Flybaby

At the La Leche League conference, everybody was excited about the FlyLady. I definitely felt out of the loop on this one because I’d never even heard of her. I finally got around to checking our her website and subscribed to her email list. She basically offers free coaching on getting your house and life in order. From what I can tell so far, as a Flybaby (someone new to the site), it’s all about taking 15 minutes several times a day to hit target areas and making cleaning a part of your daily routine. The first task for Flybabies is to shine your kitchen sink every day. I figure I can try that. On day one I discovered that in order to shine your sink you need to have the dishes put away and as long as you have the rag out you might as well wipe down the counters oh and the cabinets . . .

The idea sounds great–you get reminder emails on which areas of the house to focus on. My inbox is full of reminders to check my laundry, declutter, drink water and swish and swipe the bathrooms. So far I’ve only been able to commit to shining my sink every day, which means the house is somewhat cleaner than last week.

as a member of the food service industry.

A shiny sink makes your boss happy!
and it can make a mediocre closing shift look a whole lot better!

good idea though, maybe that woman should market herself to college students too.
