We finally got the minivan after a month in the repair shop! It feels like I have a new car again–I’m getting used to everything all over.

The car looks great, but I’m a bit bummed at all the little scratches here and there. There are some on the roof from the deer sliding over it, some in the interior where I’m guessing they lugged tools in and out and there was a scuff on the top of the bumper, which they touched up when we pointed it out. I suppose I could complain, but it’s not like I can prove these scratches didn’t exist before the accident.

Do I want them to mess with the car anymore? Do I want to send another piece of plastic to the landfill because of a tiny scratch that would have probably shown up there in a year of normal wear and tear?

In the end, it’s only a car and I’m still grateful that nobody was hurt AND I haven’t found a shard of glass on anything in a week!
